Mutter/Trifonov/Lee/Hornung/Patkolo Schubert: Forellenquintett - Trout Quintet Anne-Sophie Mutter, who celebrated the 40th anniversary of her professional debut last year, and Daniil Trifonov, now in his mid-twenties, join forces with three young string-playing alumni of the Mutter Foundation for a new release on DG. The all-Schubert album features the composers Piano Quintet in A Major, known as the Trout Quintet; Notturno in E-flat Major, a sublime late work for violin, cello and piano; and arrangements of the songs Stndchen and Ave Maria for violin and piano.

ムター、トリフォノフ、とムター・ヴィルトゥオージによるシューベルトの作品。室内楽の演奏にしては珍しくムターのヴァイオリンが楽曲全体を推し進めていく様子であり、知っている《ます》ではない。

ムターのヴァイオリンしか聞こえない録音。ジャケット写真の通りで、真っ赤なドレスを着たムターとその他はモノクロという感じ。ムターファンには嬉しい録音かもしれないが、シューベルトの鱒を聞くには不適なアルバム。

ムターのバイオリンの音色が楽しめる。使っているバイオリンを知り尽くしてこのバイオリンをとてもよく歌わせている感じがした。 かつてリヒテルのピアノによる「ます」を聴いたことがありますが、バイオリンのうまさのほうが、この曲には重要なのではないかなと思った。
